Room to move for a musical duoWARWICK SMITH/STUFF Hannah Blyde and Lisabet Morgan are trying out new sounds with their electronic duo Room. A sound knowledge of classical instruments was the jumping-off point for two students whose musical paths have veered into an experimental wander. Hannah Blyde wanted to do something other than the cello and fellow Palmerston North Girls' High student Lisabet Morgan plays various instruments, but was interested in electronic sounds. The 16-year-olds became Room and have played a few times at school, at the Rock Quest and local music venues Snails and The Stomach. Their process often starts at the piano or the guitar, tying their sound classical knowledge into their original music.
