When Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka went down with injuries on the same day in early November, the Raptors’ entire season flashed before their eyes. Toronto has won six consecutive games and eight of its last 10 since Lowry and Ibaka went down. “He’s an energy-type guy,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said this past week. Late in camp, Nurse was asked for his impressions of the Raptors’ new arrivals, specifically Hollis-Jefferson and forward Stanley Johnson. Since Lowry and Ibaka went down, Hollis-Jefferson is averaging 10.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and one steal.
