Share TweetBy Christina HermosoThe John Paul II Foundation in Rome, Italy has offered prayers and a holy mass for the safety of residents affected by the Taal Volcano eruption. Krzystof Wieliczko, executive director of the institution, led the Eucharistic celebration at the Vatican for the calamity victims. The institution also prayed for the intercession of St. John Paul II during a volcanic eruption in Armero, Colombia in 1985 that killed more than 20,000 people. Marwil Llasos, chairman of John Paul II Foundation-Philippines expressed solidarity with the victims of the Taal Volcano eruption particularly the residents of Batangas and nearby provinces.
