Rohingya refugees reach Bhasan CharA shelter project has been set up at Bhasan Char island in Noakhali's Hatia to relocate a portion of over 1 million Rohingya refugees, who fled death and persecution in Myanmar's volatile Rakhine State in 2017. The first batch of 1,642 refugees reached the island from Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya camp on Friday, Dec 4, 2020.
