The incident occurred near the Rahmaterbil border in the Palangkhali area of Ukhiya upazila on Thursday morning. BGB Cox’s Bazar 34 Commanding Officer Lt Col Ali Haider Azad Ahmed confirmed the incident. Acting on a tip off, BGB members took up positions in the Rahmaterbil border area. When they spotted two people coming from Myanmar’s side of the border, BGB members ordered them to halt.
