The party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the statement while taking questions from the media before joining a BNP convoy to visit Rohingyas at the Cox’s Bazar refugee camps. “We have been vocal from the beginning about what we want the prime minister to do to address the Rohingya problem,” he said. Though there have been calls for Myanmar to return the refugees to their homes, they have not been met. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Cox’s Bazar on Sept 12. BNP chief Khaleda Zia headed to Cox’s Bazar on Saturday to distribute aid.
