The Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), the investigating agency for the case, arrested the EC employees from the Chittagong district election office yesterday. The arrested were identified as Nazim Uddin, 38, a support staff working at the Chittagong district election office. CTU Inspector Rajesh Barua told Dhaka Tribune that with the latest arrest, 11 persons have been apprehended so far in the Rohingya NID scam case.
