UGANDA international striker Rogers Mato is at the centre of an extraordinary signing row this afternoon after his North Macedonian club side FK Vardar claimed that he has signed for an MLS side 24 hours after Hearts claimed he has penned a pre-contract with the Jambos. The Tynecastle men yesterday announced the pre-contract arrival of the prolific frontman, who scored for his country at AFCON and has been banging in the goals domestically. They pictured documents they claim pertain to the deal, including from the MLS side, say that Mato has agreed to the conditions which will see him play there INSTEAD. North Macedonian outlet Slobodenpencat reported: “A circus like you rarely see: Vardar has now announced that it has sold Mato to the USA.”Their story reads: “A real circus has arisen around the situation of Rogers Mato in Vardar in the last 24 hours. But Hearts, recently involved in another lengthy transfer saga over the signing of Islam Chesnokov, say they are relaxed about the saga.
