Embattled NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is asking for lifetime use of a private jet as part of his new compensation package, ESPN reported Sunday. Goodell’s current contract runs out in March of 2019 and the commish and owners are currently working on a five-year contract extension. ESPN, citing sources familiar with the negotiations, reported that Goodell is also looking for lifetime health insurance for his family. That’s on top of the reported $50 million (U.S.) he wants in salary per year. Monday’s conference call comes on the heels of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones making moves to block Goodell’s extension.
