ASSOCIATED PRESSRoger Federer has withdrawn from the Italian Open in Rome, citing a right leg injury. Federer and Tsitsipas are 1-1 head-to-head, with the Greek upsetting the Swiss in the fourth round of this year's Australian Open, and Federer then beating the younger man in the Dubai final. Rafa Nadal rolls into the semis but once again the world will be denied a Federer-Nadal semifinal b/c Federer pulled out. Nadal leads Federer 23-15 all-time but Federer has won the last five. The French Open begins May 26 and Nadal will be seeking his 12th title at the clay court Grand Slam.
