Roger Cotter: Adventurous traveller’s final journey

Roger Cotter: Adventurous traveller’s final journeyRoger Cotter had a great sense of mischief and humour, his daughter Sophie said. Back in Hamilton, New Zealand, in 1967, Roger joined with fellow engineers, Roger Brown and Ken Tapper to form Tapper Cotter Brown. In 1982 Tapper Cotter Brown joined with others to become well-known company, Worley Consultants. Roger Brown says that perhaps Roger Cotter's "crowning achievement" is the magnificent Avanti Velodrome cycling facility in Cambridge where he was appointed engineer to the contract, responsible for the $30-million design/build contract. Cotter family holidays tended to be highly active, whether canoeing the Whanganui River, or hiking Waikaremoana.
