Robredo visits Laguna project, seeks reforms in gov’t housingStarting down the road to a housing solution, Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo visited over the weekend a resettlement site in Laguna, where she unveiled a housing plan for relocatees. Robredo asked for their understanding and told them to give her more time to work on their pressing housing problems. As the head of the government’s housing arm, she proposed that the installation of electricity and water supply be included in the housing plan. Robredo, newly appointed head of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), called for reforms in resettlement projects, in which families were relocated to houses without electricity and water.
