Juergen Maier said that Britain must embrace and fund what is being called “Industry 4.0”, or the fourth industrial revolution. Today Mr Maier, UK chief executive of Siemens, the German industrial giant, and the government’s unofficial Industry 4.0 tsar, will launch Made Smarter, his manifesto for bringing British industry into the 21st century.
