New Zealand athlete Zane Robertson has unleashed a withering run in Germany, smashing the Oceania record for a 10km road race. Robertson won the Berlin Great 10k race in 27min 28sec, the fourth-quickest time by any runner this year and reportedly among the 20 fastest times in history. In fine conditions, Robertson smashed the previous Oceania record of 27:54, set by Australian Craig Mottram in Manchester 12 years ago. The 26-year-old's time of 27:33.67 lowered Dick Quax's 39-year-old New Zealand record by more than 8sec.
