The robbers were killed at Borborwet near Kapsoit market after one them, believed to be armed, escaped. But on reaching Kapsoit, members of the public who already had the information of the robbery, ambushed the criminals. Hardly a kilometre away from Kipsitet, the robbers bundled four goats in the getaway car and sped off with the animals. Members of a family were shot dead and Sh2 million stolen by a three-man gang on Tuesday near Kipsistet market, some 30 kilometres from Kericho town. Residents, responding to the alarm raised by the family accosted the criminals, killed two of them while another escaped with the cash.
