Share:ISLAMABAD - A gang of seven armed robbers took away Rs12 million cash from a bank located in fruit/vegetable market in capital here on Thursday, informed sources. Sources claimed robbers mugged cash from the bank to the tune of millions of rupees. The robbers then moved towards the cash counter and looted cash to the tune of millions of rupees, sources said. A police spokesman said IG Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman has taken notice of bank robbery and directed the DIG and SSP Operations to trace out robbers involved in bank robbers. SSP Operations Islamabad Dr Syed Mustafa Tanvir, when contacted, confirmed that robbers looted the bank.
