Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred would do some things differently when looking back on how he handled the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal. In a recent interview with Time Magazine, Manfred said it “maybe not my best decision ever” in regard to the Astros players being granted immunity during an investigation into the team that concluded in 2020. Manfred: “I’m not sure that I would have approached it with giving players immunity. Starting with, I’m not going to punish anybody, maybe not my best decision ever.”AdvertisementRead the full Q&A with Manfred here.
