Authorities were investigating Sunday after a freight train and car collided in the Gaithersburg area. Footage from the scene showed a CSX freight train stalled on the tracks. The incident occurred at a railroad crossing at Railroad and Oakmont avenues about 10:30 a.m., Montgomery County fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said in tweets. Montgomery County Police described the injuries as minor.
