ADTransportation officials say motorists should be cautious in the morning due to the likelihood of icy roads from freezing temperatures overnight. ADThe winter storm brought crowded conditions to Metro stations Tuesday afternoon as federal workers left work early. ADAbout 11 a.m., the Office of Personnel Management said federal workers should leave their offices by 1 p.m. Around noon, Metro’s Gallery Place and L’Enfant Plaza stations had crowds waiting three or four deep for trains home. They were instead thrilled to get out of work early.
