KOZHIKODE: City corporation authorities have taken steps for the repair of all the roads which are in dilapidated conditions in its limit. The works will be commenced soon after the monsoon season. The railway station's over bridge road, the road in front of the town police station, the second and fourth railway gates, pocket roads at Nadakkavu, Chakorathukulam and other wards were in bad shape following the monsoon rains. The civic body has taken steps to avoid getting public wrath like the previous years.According to the corporation, a sum of 32 crore has been earmarked for the road works during the 2016-2017 budget. "The civic body has also re-tendered many road repair works that failed to get bidding from the contractors.
