The Omarama-Lindis Pass Rd (SH8), between Omarama and Tarras, has reopened following a fatal crash this afternoon. Police have confirmed one person died following the serious two-vehicle crash, which also left three others injured. A Police spokeswoman said the incident happened between Old Faithful Rd and Omarama, near the Lindis Pass scenic lookout, about 12.20pm. The road remained closed until about 6.50pm while the Serious Crash Unit conducted a scene examination. Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
