The incident took place around 2am on Friday in Gazipur's Kapasia upazila , where the lands in question fell about 20 feet deep from its previous position. Confirming, Kapasia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ismat Ara said vehicles stopped operating on the road after the landslide that happened with a loud noise. Saif Uddin, executive engineer of Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) in Gazipur said: "Development works of the Sreepur-Kapasia road was completed last year. The same area had collapsed previously in 1964, 2003 and 2018.
