Last year, more than 14,000 cyclists rode on the Gardiner Expressway, which shut down, in the Heart and Stroke Foundation's 28th annual Becel Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart. You may want to avoid driving around Exhibition Place, as there are more road closures slated for that area. The first weekend of June will see runners, walkers and cyclists take to the streets for a number of events around Toronto, with related road closures affecting travel in the city. Sunday’s annual Ride for Heart will shut down the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway to vehicle traffic. Starting at 2 a.m., the DVP will be closed from the Gardiner to York Mills Rd.
