BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has sarcastically claimed that no writ would be filed before the presidential election as the ruling party is going to field their own candidate in the polls. Alluding to the Dhaka North City Corporation by-polls that have been suspended by the Election Commission following a recent High Court order, the senior BNP leader said: “There will be no trouble in announcing the schedule for the presidential election as they (the ruling party) are going to field their own candidate. Rizvi further said: “The sole intention of Awami League is to hold on to power by any means and they will do everything, including murder and forced disappearances.”The senior leader added that the next general elections have to be held under a neutral government. “The people have already rejected this government, who are devising another master plan to hold another voter-less election,” he said.
