Security guards protect DAB lawmaker, Starry Lee. Previous NextLegislators from the two rival camps fought over the chairman's seat in a Legco meeting room today, more than an hour before their House Committee session was due to begin, RTHK reports. Legco security guards had escorted Lee, and then surrounded the desk to prevent pan-democrats from reaching her. There was a bit of pushing and shoving between pan-dems and the security guards, who were all wearing face masks and black gloves. Trouble had been feared ahead of the House Committee meeting, which Lee had earlier insisted she would chair, although the Civic Party's Dennis Kwok had stated that he would be the one leading the proceedings.
