In his book, Rishi Kapoor mentioned that he paid Rs 30,000 and got a film award for himself in 1973 for his work in Bobby. For Bobby, Rishi did win the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in 1974, an award which he claimed to have bought in an year-old interview with The Quint. Incidentally, Rishi Kapoor won the Best Supporting Actor for his work in Kapoor and Sons at the recently concluded 74th Filmfare Awards ceremony.
