Riot police chased down protesters who had gathered On Des Voeux Road in Central at about 7:30pm on the first anniversary of the mass protests in the city. One was tackled to the ground. Earlier, they had formed a defensive line at Des Voeux Road and raised a blue banner warning people to disperse. Crowds had also gathered on Queen’s Road in Central, while riot police swarmed the area. Democratic Party lawmaker Ted Hui Chi-fung, who was in the area was aslo ordrered by police to the sidewalk.
