Liberty House and its sister company Simec are paying £330 million for the Lochaber smelter and hydroelectric power plants at Lochaber and Kinlochleven, near Fort William, in the Highlands. The deal would secure 150 jobs on the sites, according to GFG Alliance, the owner of Simec and Liberty.
