CRTV’s Olympic Games analyst, multiple triple jump gold medalist, Francoise Mbango said although the Cameroon Olympic team did not win any medal, they had an overall satisfactory performance and the athletes need better preparation for the next edition. The athletes have gained the experience of the Olympic Games and are better prepared psychologically to compete at international level. Rio de Janeiro was the first Olympic experience for a majority of the athletes who were discovering such magnitude of world class competition for the first time. Upon return, the Cameroonian athletes are expected to continue training with professional coaching and high level international competitions to better prepare for the next Olympic Games.
