Rihanna and Drake — aka AubRih, Drihanna or whatever couple name you bestowed upon them — are officially not friends. Things came to a head when Drake reached peak levels of Drake by declaring his love for the singer at the MTV VMA Awards while presenting her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Months later, they abruptly split and each went their separate ways, with Drake having a rumored fling with Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna apparently moving on with Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel. A Vogue profile published on Thursday noted that the “Anti” singer “winces slightly” when asked about the current state of her relationship with the rapper. In case you forgot, Rihanna essentially recoiled when Drake went for it, only to bury his head in her shoulder.
