Rights panel seeks probe into killings


Guwahati, Aug. 10: The Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) today asked Dispur to probe the August 5 killings in Kokrajhar and look into alleged security lapses in order to fix responsibilities for prevention of human rights violations. Thus the basic human rights of the people guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution are being grossly violated," it said.
