A human rights group has gone to court to overturn Governor Hassan Joho’s order suspending registration of more tuk tuks in the county. Commission For Human Rights and Justice (CFHRJ) wants the directive suspended arguing it has adversely affected commuters and tuk tuk operators in the county. The applicant said that the county administration failed to provide reasons informing the decision to suspend registration of tuk tuks as required by the law. The county government suspended the registration of tuk tuks on January 8, 2018 through a letter by Governor Joho to the county Transport minister.
