To put things into perspective, Huawei’s workforce had grown to about 180,000 employees in 2017, compared with 150,000 employees in 2012. Huawei Group is also strongly focusing on attracting global talent. “Where there is talent, there is Huawei,” Huang said, adding that Huawei’s R&D, sales, procurement and finance departments have dozens of centres of expertise worldwide.
