Let fly with surpassing grace by How Ridiculous team member Derrick Herron, the shot instantly shattered the Guinness World Record for a basketball shot sunk from the greatest height (533 feet), set earlier in 2016 by How Ridiculous’ blood rivals, the Dude Perfect team of lovable amateur crazymen out of Frisco, Texas. In a nice note for the (extremely happy) How Ridiculous team sponsor Spalding, the ball did not explode on impact after the long sail down through the net. Emergency logistics aside, the How Ridiculous team has been setting Guinness world records with the high shot since 2011, when they scored at a height of 219 feet, a record they themselves gloriously topped twice in the last five years. But that is the charm of the Dude Perfect boys. But, knowing this competition, fans of How Ridiculous and Dude Perfect can rest assured that it will happen.
