Pathao, MUV and Bahon managements announced their decision on Wednesday, regretting the inconvenience caused to the users. It said the ride services would remain suspended from 6am on Feb 8, but Pathao Food Services would be available during the period. Vice Chairman of Pathao management committee Ahmed Fahad told bdnews24.com about the sudden closure of the services. Bahon, a private car and motorbike ride service provider, said, "Due to some maintenance work, the services will remain suspended from 6am on Thursday until 11:50pm next day." Motorcycle ride service providers MUV also sent SMS to the clients announcing the service suspension.
