Tapping into this growing market, Careem has announced its new delivery app, Careem NOW which will initially provide food-delivery service and later expand into other delivery services. Rescue services soon an app awayCareem NOW’s app lets its users track the orders on an interactive map and reach out to the delivery captains directly or through the care centre. A rapid growth in the food delivery market and prediction of a growth to around $25 billion by 2022, the ride-hailing company has decided to venture into an investment of over $150 million. The catch though is that the food delivery service is currently only offered in the vicinity of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and Clifton areas and will soon expand to the whole of Karachi. The app can easily be used with your existing Careem credentials and wallet.
