A father who was jailed for life for the murder of his foster daughter Tiahleigh Palmer has admitted to a string of child sex offences. Rick Thorburn, 59, was sentenced to life behind bars last year for killing the 12-year-old and dumping her body into a river in the Gold Coast in 2015. Thorburn also forced a girl to perform oral sex on him and digitally raped another, police say. His wife was sentenced to 18 months behind bars in 2017 for perjury and attempting to pervert the course of justice. Rick Thorburn will be sentenced at a later date for the child sex offences.
