Already title-contenders, the Brooklyn Nets completed their transformation to the Monstars of the NBA after signing Spurs’ discard LaMarcus Aldridge from the buyout market. This comes a couple of weeks after former all-star Blake Griffin was inked by the no-longer-other-New York team following his buyout with the lottery-bound Pistons. The four-time All-Star can step right in as the backup of starting center DeAndre Jordan. In the case of the buyout market, the rich (Nets and Lakers) indeed only got richer and the Heat was Victor-ious in the trade deadline with the Nuggets a close second. Now, it’s up to these teams to capitalize on their midseason windfalls and translate them into a championship run.
