In a shocking incident of negligence, a passenger on board the Poorva Express found a lizard in the food served to him near Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh. "Ordered food in Mokama and found this. I complained to the TTE, canteen manager, and tweeted it to the railway minister," the passenger's post read. This comes barely a week after the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India said in its audit report that food served by Indian Railways to its passengers is unfit for human consumption. The Indian Railways has ordered an investigation into the incident.
