PITTSBURGH (AP) — Bryan Reynolds hit a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning, powering the Pittsburgh Pirates to an 8-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night. Facing a 2-0 count, Reynolds sent a fastball from Devin Williams (2-1) 425 feet to right-center field for a lead-off blast. Pirates: RHP Yohan Ramirez was recalled from Indianapolis. Pirates: RHP David Bednar (low back inflammation) was placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to July 31. UP NEXTRHP Brandon Woodruff (9-3, 3.55 ERA) will take the mound for the Brewers against Pirates RHP Zach Thompson (3-8, 5.09) in the finale of the three-game series on Thursday afternoon.
