India’s key role will be to boost the socio-economic conditions of the Afghan people, undertake infrastructure projects and build capacity of the Afghan government – factors that will further enhance Delhi’s goodwill in the landlocked country. Delhi is working with both the US and Russia to safeguard its interests in Afghanistan.Tillerson will meet his counterpart Sushma Swaraj and call on PM Narendra Modi.
