The Northwest Territories has expanded a quality assurance review of a former Yellowknife hospital radiologist whose past work in B.C. In the spring, radiologists at Vancouver General Hospital completed re-interpretations of 8,400 imaging tests Vezina had looked at. quality assurance review as he was in B.C., Maguire said: “We did not name the practitioner due to legal concerns.”The College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C. and other jurisdictions, including Ontario, where Vezina has worked; the review there began soon after. The Ontario regulator told Postmedia News that it is “monitoring the outcome” of activities in B.C.
