“Day Shift,” which begins streaming Friday, has aims much closer to something like “Zombieland“ than Murnau. “Day Shift” isn’t much interested in vampires, anyway. There’s a this-is-barely-a-story feel to “Day Shift,” but not always unpleasantly so. “Day Shift” might slot in somewhere around an OK “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” episode. “Day Shift” a Focus Features release, is rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America for strong violence and gore, and language.
