He’s pulled out of the water by Bronn, and despite only trying that oversized crossbow once, he knows they’ve already lost this war. Tyrion appears to be growing uncomfortable with the smell of burning flesh and advises Daenerys to spare the Tarlys. It’s often been speculated that Daenerys is a dictator in the making, but morally, I’m with her on this one. A nice little scene between Tyrion and Varys shows them bonding over the difficulty of advising megalomaniac pyromaniacs. But Daenerys really, really likes her dragons.
