TEAM GB has been set a recording-breaking target of up to eight medals at the Winter Olympics next month. The British delegation is expected to number around 55 athletes at the Milan Cortina Games with the expectation of a substantial upgrade on the two medals won in Beijing four years ago. No British team has returned from a Winter Olympics with more than five medals, but such is the level of funding and success on the world level since 2022, squad bosses are bullish about their prospects in Italy.
