Government adviser Yuen Kwok-yung said the government plans to distribute reusable masks to all citizens. The masks, developed by Innovation and Technology Bureau, can be reused for 60 times, Yuen quoted permanent secretary for innovation and technology Annie Choi Suk-han to have said. IT Bureau said the Chief Executive announced in February it will make use of the Anti-epidemic Fund to subsidize development and production of reusable masks. The goal is to allow each citizen access to a mask which is durable and reusable. Preparation has entered the last stage, with results to be announced shortly, a spokesman said today.
