Returning 'little ghosts' face quarantineSuwannachai: Plan being mulledThe Ministry of Public Health is toying with the idea of putting returning Phi Noy (little ghost) illegal labourers from South Korea, into quarantine, in a similar process to that used for 137 Wuhan returnees, according to Dr Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, director-general of the Department of Disease Control. "We are considering whether we will apply the same surveillance measures as the Wuhan case. The ministry has been forced into considering the measures after thousands of illegal Thai workers in South Korea began returning home since the start of the year. These countries and territories include China, Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, Germany and France. In a related development, there have been no reported coronavirus cases among legal Thai labourers in foreign countries, Labour Minister MR Chatu Mongol Sonakul said yesterday.
