Agano Party Presidential candidate David Waihiga Mwaure has written to a number of foreign countries demanding a return of money illegally shipped out of Kenya. In the letter copied to the United Nations, Mwaure claims that the people of Kenya are currently undergoing a lot of economic suffering ranging from the high cost of living, high cost of essential foodstuffs, and highest external and internal debt as well as a very high unemployment rate. He lamented that the dire situation prevails yet a lot of money illegally obtained from Kenya has been stashed in foreign countries both illegally and illegally. “The purpose of this letter is to find out if your nation, state, or location would be one of the destinations where these funds have or may have been stashed, and if your country would be just and responsible enough to accept international laws and norms to return Kenya development funds and wealth back,” he said in the letter addressed to embassies, consulates, high commissions and representatives of foreign nations in Nairobi.
