The Maori Party is calling on Maori businesses throughout the country to rethink doing business with ASB, the sponsor of Seven Sharp, hosted by Mike Hosking on TV1. Mr Hosking got himself into hot water this week by confusing how only people on the Maori roll could vote for the Maori Party. He made the matter worse by saying the Maori Party was an ``electorate party'' and was in Parliament only because it had won an electorate seat. Co-leader Te Ururoa Flavell is an electorate MP, but the party vote ensured Marama Fox entered Parliament through the list. Maori Party president Tukoroirangi Morgan said there was no mana, care or integrity in the Hosking brand.
