As Toronto bars and restaurants scrambled to reopen to indoor seating this Friday, Oliver Geddes was waiting to see what extra health measures the city was going to require him to implement. Just two days before the order comes into effect in Toronto, questions were still swirling as to whether or not the Ontario government would adopt some of the additional public health measures proposed by Toronto for bars and restaurants. The city also adopted extra capacity restrictions, which would include limiting large indoor businesses offering food and drink to 100 guests at a time. “It’s so unorganized,” said Blanchard, who was busy moving tables back indoors on Wednesday at her Roncesvalles establishment in anticipation of Friday’s indoor reopening. The GoodLife chain intends to reopen all clubs in Toronto and Peel on Friday.
